Canada Life Update – Dispensing Fees & Consult+ Virtual Provider

It has been brought to the Agency’s attention that several staff members have been charged pharmacy dispensing fees (or partial dispensing fees) that should be covered by our benefits.

This is an issue that Taylor is currently addressing with Canada Life. We expect it to be corrected shortly. In the meantime, if you must pay a dispensing fee at the pharmacy when you pick up a prescription, please retain your receipt. Once the issue is resolved, you will be able to submit for online reimbursement.

HR also wanted to take this opportunity to remind staff that if you require access to virtual healthcare providers, the service is no longer provided through TELUS. Canada Life has provided us with a program called Consult+. Please click this link for information on accessing Consult+. This is for non-urgent healthcare matters. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911 or attend the nearest emergency / urgent care clinic.

TELUS remains the provider of our EFAP for Employee Family Assistance Program.

Thank you for your patience as we navigate these new processes! Please don’t hesitate to reach out should you have any questions about this information.
