We acknowledge that we meeting today on the traditional territory of Treaty #3. We wish to recognize the long history of Anishinaabe people, and show our respect and appreciation to them today. We honour with gratitude the land itself and the Anishinaabe people who have cared for it throughout the generations. We commit to continued learning and honour Manitou, Nibi (NEE-BEE) and Abinoojii (AB-BIN-NU-GEE) Inakonigewin (IN-KNOCK-A-GA-WIN). We commit to embrace Truth and Reconciliation within the Anishinaabe Nation of Treaty #3, as with all Indigenous peoples.
